EVEN THE SMALLEST BETRAYAL OPENS HELL
Wiesław Świrski and Mirosław Cichoń, who are battle-hardened police officers from the Criminal Police Department in Toruń, , act brutally according to the applicable rules of the game. They know each other very well and they are effective.
In 1993, they investigate the disappearance of a would-be medical student, the son of the deputy voivode from Toruń. They start from interrogating Anna Wiśniewska, the girlfriend of the missing Mateusz. They take her to the abandoned fort where in the presence of three thugs they terrorize her to force confessions. This is the time when the mafia in Toruń is gaining strength and is looking for deals with the police. The tragedy occurs at the intersection of these two worlds.
What happened then?
Years later, when Świrski is elderly, he thinks back to 1993.
