(Flaw)

The dark detective story about the hell of the Polish province, family and ... police. MaƂecki is an author whose every fan of this genre should know.

Wojciech Chmielarz

THERE ARE BODIES, THERE IS NO CRIME. THERE IS ONLY THE SCREAM FROM THE PAST THAT REQUIRES THE TRUTH.

In the winter in 2018, a teenager's body is pulled out of an ice-cold lake. The pathologist is sure that the boy's death occurred as a result of drowning. The body of an elderly, homeless man of unknown identity also does not bear the sign of crime. Both deaths are connected only by a frosty night. And this is unfortunately not enough to start the investigation.

However, according to Bernard Gross  the police Commissioner, there are more questions in both cases than answers. And when he begins to ask them, the inhabitants of a nearby town do not want to answer them. Gross discovers over time that their silence is the wall behind which the ghosts of the past lurk.

The key to discover the truth may be the explaination of the old case of the mysterious missing ...
Flaw is a story about the drama that poisons the minds, but also about the crime, mistakes and redemption. About love, revenge and justice - sometimes understood so differently.
