Skrzep (The Clot)

Emotions that never cool down
lead to the crime

THERE ARE BLOOD TRACES THAT REVEAL MORE
THAN WITNESSES OF THE CRIME
AND THERE IS LOVE
THAT PUSHES TO THE EDGE OF INSANITY

A house in a remote area, two bodies. A mother and a daughter. Blood pools in the living room, a hanged man in the shed. Gross is already on his way to his son, but at the last moment he receives an important work call. A laborious investigation begins.

All the evidence points to the fact that the father and the husband of the victims, the suicide MichaƂ ArƂak, is the murderer. However, something is bothering the police commissioner.

Why does the deceased have blood on his shoes? What does the only witness, the ArƂaks' neighbour, hide? How long was MichaƂ's mother at odds with her daughter-in-law?

In parallel with the investigation, the police commissioner argues with his superiors. Things are getting more and more complicated. The investigators from his team are delegated to other tasks and Gross is once again immersed in the nightmares of the past.

What will he do when he realizes that he is one step above the abyss?

The Clot is the continuation of Robert MaƂecki's best-selling and award-winning series about the police commissioner named Bernard Gross.
